It’s a useless landmark, halfway between nowhere and their neighbor. Driven past it a hundred times, and deemed it time to get to the top. After summiting Picacho, the view is less than imagined. You can see the freeway, the RV park, a lot of desert and trash from the hundreds of people who climb it a day. The 360 degree mountain skyline surrounds you, but it is all too far away for any appreciation. But the climb is a mission. Picacho, conquered....
